There are numerous electricity tariffs available for solar and battery owners, as well as EV owners.
Have a look below at some examples, or get in touch to have a chat with one of our experts.
Export Tariff / SEG
The ‘Smart Export Guarantee’, or export tariff is a government-backed scheme that requires some electricity suppliers to pay small-scale generators for low-carbon electricity exported to the National Grid.
Current SEG rates from Octopus Energy are 15p!
Solar and Battery Tariffs
There are many tariffs suitable to solar and battery owners which can be used alongside the SEG tariff.
The enthesis of so called solar and battery tariffs is to shift electricity usage to hours when cheaper rates are offered. The benefit of battery ownership, then utilises the ability to charge up during cheaper periods, and use the battery to power the house though the day or night when rates are higher.
Octopus cosy is popular for this, and suits those with air source and ground source heat pumps.
EV Tariffs
EV tariffs such as the famous Octopus GO tariff, offer super cheap off-peak rates for charging electric vehicles during times where electricity demand is lower, and rates are lower.
Many EV owners also utilise these cheaper rate hours to charge up their batteries too!
Agile Tariffs
The Octopus Energy Agile tariff is a unique and innovative energy tariff that is designed to help you save money on your energy bills. The tariff is based on wholesale energy prices, which means that the cost of energy can vary every half-hour, depending on the demand and supply in the market. This dynamic pricing system allows you to benefit from lower prices during periods of low demand.
